We're a Japanese-inspired resort just ten minutes from downtown Santa Fe, adjacent to the Santa Fe National Forest. Inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot springs resorts, we offer a sanctuary to locals and people from all over the world. 

Since our founding in 1981, we’ve always emphasized values above profits. We're committed to providing an amazing experience for our guests and realize that in order to do that we have to take really good care of our staff.

  • no employee receives less than $17.00 per hour ($17.50 if bilingual) as a starting wage. in addition, the majority of staff receive generous tips from guests, from $2 per hour and up
  • $250 hiring bonuses are offered to all new hires after 12 weeks
  • $250 referral bonuses are offered if you find us a new hire
  • In this era of high inflation, we review our wage structure quarterly and increase wages to account for inflation 
  • some positions receive quarterly awards of KaniKash -- this is scrip you can use to purchase services, merchandise, and food at the Waves
  • everyone – kitchen workers and servers included – receives sick pay and paid time off
  • work schedules are consistent and predictable
  • subsidized comprehensive health insurance is available to all employees who work 30+ hours/week
