Key Responsibilities:

• Take spa, lodging, and restaurant reservations across three software platforms
• Tailor each experience to our guests’ needs, from their first phone call to their next visit
• Process payments efficiently and accurately
• Attend to guest needs with joy and compassion

Requirements:

• Basic computer proficiency
• Efficiency and accuracy in payment processing
• Ability to commit to at least one regular night and/or weekend shift

Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to frequently stand for hours at a time; frequently walk short distances, to walk up and down stairs and over uneven terrain. Some work is performed in a non-traditional office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items.

Over the last 45 years, Ten Thousand Waves has developed the reputation of having the best massage therapists in the US. The spectacular natural beauty of the facility and environment add to the healing experience guests receive.

We are looking to expand our Therapy Department with a few more highly skilled and experienced massage therapists. We support our therapists with many opportunities for high-quality training, education, and accredited CEUs. We have a year-round business, so therapists typically have plenty of work, even in the depths of winter. We're open from 9 am to 9 pm, 7 days per week with 24 therapy rooms, giving therapists a great choice when determining their schedules.

Requirements:

• 1 year minimum experience in providing massage treatments and therapeutic services, preferably in a spa or wellness center setting
• Ability and willingness to be educated in Ten Thousand Waves treatments and tradecraft protocols
• Trained in multiple therapeutic modalities
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Current massage therapy license issued by the state of New Mexico
• Current workers compensation and professional liability insurance. We can guide you in this process.
• Desire and ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays

POSITION DETAILS

Status:

• Full-Time · Monday through Friday with after hours, overnight, and weekend support as needed
• Work Location:
• In-Person, Santa Fe NM

Compensation:

• $80,000-90,000 per annum DOE
• FLSA Classification: Salary—exempt
• Health Insurance: Offered upon eligibility
• Flexible, Paid Time Off: 160 hours per annum
• Healthy Workplaces Act Paid Sick Leave: Accrued at 1 hour per every 30 hours worked
• Quarterly Internal Currency: $1050 valid for spa, restaurant, and lodging

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in construction industry and/or building trades
• Demonstrated ability to thoroughly understand drawings and specifications, materials, means and methods.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clear MVR.
• Established relationships with local subcontractors a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus

JOB DESCRIPTION

Ten Thousand Waves is a world-renowned spa resort known for its innovative position in the burgeoning wellness industry. It is a non-corporate, medium-sized business that can move fast to take advantage of trends in leisure and health. We're looking for a creative person with great construction skills to help us in our quest for constant thoughtful improvement. We are constantly building facilities and spaces that break the mold in what is considered possible. Our ideal candidate would be responsible for all phases of the construction project including but not limited to managing employees, subcontractors, owner relations, quality control, safety, schedule and executing to the project budget. Provides knowledgeable, onsite support for ongoing and advanced maintenance projects. This candidate will operate under the GB98 of Ten Thousand Waves, Inc.

DUTIES

• Coordinate closely with President and COO to plan, direct, and coordinate all activities for projects to ensure projects are accomplished within prescribed financials and scheduling parameters.
• Oversee budget and schedule, reporting regularly on project(s) costs, progress, and forecasts to President, COO, and the Projects team.
• Coordinate with COO, Maintenance Manager, and Woodshop Manager for the allocation of shared resources such as personnel and equipment.
• Supervise work performed to ensure it meets specifications and limits disruption to business operations.
• Review drawings and specifications for constructability, completeness, and accuracy.
• Supervision of Projects Personnel and subcontractors, as assigned.
• Available to promptly respond to project ad-hoc needs, including overnights and/or weekend work as needed.
• Ensure all on-site compliance with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules and company policies.
• Apply expert level knowledge in general construction, materials, equipment, and risk management..
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent walking on uneven surfaces, including ground in varying weather conditions.
• Regularly sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.
• May stoop, kneel, or bend on an occasional basis.
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on frequent basis.
• Occasionally climb stairs or ladders, etc.
• Regularly works near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Exposure to outdoor environment with machinery/equipment in the surrounding area.
• This position requires the use and operation of a personal and/or company vehicle.
• Able to safely operate a motor vehicle.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
