Over the last 43 years, Ten Thousand Waves has developed the reputation of having the best massage therapists in the US. The spectacular natural beauty of the facility and environment add to the healing experience guests receive.

We are looking to expand our Therapy Department with a few more highly skilled and experienced massage therapists. We support our therapists with many opportunities for high-quality training, education, and accredited CEUs. We have a year-round business, so therapists typically have plenty of work, even in the depths of winter. We're open from 9 am to 9 pm, 7 days per week with 24 therapy rooms, giving therapists a great choice when determining their schedules.

Requirements:

• 1 year minimum experience in providing massage treatments and therapeutic services, preferably in a spa or wellness center setting
• Ability and willingness to be educated in Ten Thousand Waves treatments and tradecraft protocols
• Trained in multiple therapeutic modalities
• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Current massage therapy license issued by the state of New Mexico
• Current workers compensation and professional liability insurance. We can guide you in this process.
• Desire and ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays

Ten Thousand Waves Japanese Spa Resort is currently seeking a full-time groundskeeper to join our talented House of Moons team. The role involves maintaining our private lodging courtyards, including cleaning, stripping rooms, delivering supplies, and performing various maintenance tasks.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

Applicants must be available to work weekends and flexible hours including weekdays and holidays in an all-season outdoor environment. Applicants must be able to frequently walk up and down stairs and over uneven terrain, and be able to lift 50 lbs.

Ten Thousand Waves Japanese Spa Resort is seeking motivated candidates to join our dynamic Back of House team at Izanami dining. Presently, we are hiring a Full-Time Pastry Chef to work flexible daytime and evening shifts on weekdays and weekends.

We are looking for a pastry chef that is able to keep up with the demand of our sales. You will be expected to make desserts on a regular basis to reach demand along with baking any fresh goods based on our menu.   

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a pastry restaurant environment is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

• Navigating tight or uneven spaces: Our setting includes various room layouts and outdoor decks that may involve stairs, thresholds, and narrow walkways. Team members must move confidently and cautiously in these areas. 

Physical Demands of the Position:

• Extended periods of standing and walking: Managers are expected to remain on their feet and in motion for up to 8–10 hours per shift, navigating the dining room, patio, and other service areas with ease and efficiency.
• Carrying and lifting: Must be able to lift, carry, and balance trays, beverage buckets, and bus tubs weighing up to 35 pounds safely.
• Reaching, bending, and stooping: Frequent reaching across tables, bending to retrieve items, and stooping to reset or clean as needed are required. 
• Navigating tight or uneven spaces: Our setting includes various room layouts and outdoor decks that may involve stairs, thresholds, and narrow walkways. Team members must move confidently and cautiously in these areas.
