Ichiban bath is currently being remodeled, with an estimated completion date of August 10. It will be a super-premium bath, with it's own private changing room, one of those Japanese toilets that do everything for you, seated Japanese showers, a sauna, and two ceramic tubs custom made for us in Shigaraki, Japan. Please enjoy one of our other baths in the interim.

Shown below is the making of one of the two ceramic Japanese soaking tubs to be incorporated into the new Ichiban Super-Premium Bath. The craftsman is Takahama-san, a dentokougeshi--master of traditional folk arts. Immensely popular in Japan, these giant teacup-like baths will be the first of their kind in the mainland US!
